Patients are offered free 24/7 online access to healthcare appointments. Patients can view online all subscribed Healthcare Professionals’ calendars, book appointments and receive (at the clinic’s discretion) email or SMS reminders. A few simple clicks allow users to access clinic information, assess Healthcare Professionals’ timetables, and book a convenient appointment time.

Patients can search by Name of the clinic or professional, by Locality, by Profession and/or sub-specialty and can choose an appointment time convenient to them.

BookAOnline provides location maps matching the search criteria. This helps users find a Healthcare Professional when they visit unfamiliar locations. Patients can print the map for future reference.

The BookAOnline SMS or email confirmation feature enables participating clinics or Health Professionals to change or cancel appointments via a timely and cost effective process. Our system also sends an e-mail notification to the subscriber every time an appointment has been made or cancelled. It’s also easy for a user to cancel and rebook, which helps to reduce the number of “no shows”.

Clinics with “closed books” can display that information and reduce unwanted interruptions to front desk staff time.

Group appointments can be accommodated. They allow more than one booking per timeslot. This option is useful for organising meetings or seminars.

BookAOnline is synchronised with practice management appointment software. Our system automatically communicates with your current computerised appointment software ensuring you don’t need to do anything more to link our website to your existing system. Currently we’re compatible with Best Practice, Houston Medical, Clinic Director and eClaims (ACSS). If you don’t already have appointment software, our system can act as your stand alone appointment system.

BookAOnline is powered by GObookings Systems and has the highest level of security certification available. Clients who use this software include the Australian government. We deter bogus bookings through various means. Users of BookAOnline must comply and accept our Terms of Use when making a booking binding them legally for the responsibility of their scheduled appointments. We are also able to track IP Addresses when bookings are made and have in place domain name validation software which verifies an emails domain name authenticity.

We also offer an E-commerce option which enables subscribers to take deposits from patients via credit card when a booking is made.

Costs

Set-Up fee
For Early Birds, our once only set-up fee per clinic is discounted by 50% to $99.

Monthly Subscription
For Early Birds, our monthly per calendar charge is reduced to $11 plus $0.88c for each online booking. The early bird pricing includes our standard sign-up pack, incorporating 2 posters and 250 DL size complimentary slips.

We will monitor your usage to ensure that you access the cheaper of our Early Bird pricing model and our Standard Pricing model. Subscribers who sign-up under our Early Bird offer will be able to access the benefits of our Early Bird pricing model at least until 31st December 2010.

A monthly, per calendar charge of $33 or $0.33 per booking, whichever is greater.

Other fees may include:

$250 for E-Commerce set up - (only required if you wish to enable patients to pay online by credit card)

$11 (per Calendar System) for assistance setting up if requested
